  Not inviting from the outside, but a lovely bistro upstairs with excellent food.

  The hotel situated at an excellent historic part of Sydney next to an old German church and it is frequently visited by the members of the legal profession, since at least three court buildings are nearby. I am troubled, however, by the falling standards as I saw the staff spraying air fresher cans to mask the stench along the stairways to the library bar upstairs. I lament the loss of the classic library bar by the increasing installation of televisions. Most importably, the staff (Thai accent) exhibited an air of indignation with respect to customers, when I brought a friend, and we had three drinks and a meal. Alas, it was a weekend night and the staff might be feeling stressed. The steak burger was lukewarm and the chips with dried inner immediately revealed the frozen packet, which they came from. It may be comparatively low in price for a night out. It is definitely not worth it to comprise the classic Crown. I wish the management all the best restoring the royal and classic feeling to the Crown hotel.

  Amazing band playing first Friday every month, "The Finn".

  Pub area is friendly, clean, a bit cosy. Nice little place to get away to. Highly recommended.
