  Hemmesphere is a really lovely spot. If the service and quality of drinks can be brought to match the decor and ambience, I doubt I'd go elsewhere for a cocktail in Sydney.

  Hemmesphere is in the same building as where stablishment is! So even if you spend a big amount of money in hemmesphere , you have to get out of the building which is "illogical" also make a line! And then pay 25$ each person to get into establishment" the same building". When I said to the person at the door I came from hemmesphere he told me that is a different Venue. When the funniest thing Merivale Own both. And for safety I would rather spend my time in hemmesphere having cocktails and then after keep going drinking at stablishment. "Without getting out of the building" I wasn't going to look people's eyes Merivale! ;)

  Great selection of Whiskey, specially Japanese origins, including all the rarest one. Price will be on the high side but if you are looking for a luxury experience it is the place.

  There was a shift change while we were there and the next waitress, who I think was American, was a totally different experience. She was very helpful and friendly.

  Towards the end of our stay when we needed the bill, she was being approached by several customers and it was quite obvious the place was understaffed for that particular time of day, ie. she seemed to be the only person serving customers. Nevertheless, she got our bill to us and we really appreciated her efforts given how many tables she had to attend to.

  The service with that particular waitress continued on that level. Our cocktails were nice, but nothing special, which surprised me given the nature of where we were and the person who the place is named after.

  The staff at hemmesphere and sushi e are amazing, service is second to none and the cuisine at sushi e is fantastic!! My favourite restaurant in Sydney!! I've dined at Jiro Sukiyabashi in Ginza, Tokyo and sushi e holds its own... Amazing

  The visual experience of walking in is lovely, and we were seated quickly in a very comfortable area of the lounge. Given that the place was empty, we waited an unusual amount of time for someone to take a drink order (it is a cocktail bar, after all). Eventually, I had to get up and approach two staff to ask if we could have our drinks order taken.
