Disgusting conduct by Prime Security. A member of our group was refused entry because they were wearing Nike shoes. When they politely questioned the Prime Security guard why another individual wearing Nike shoes were allowed in the security guard responded with "F..k off you little c..t" and then continued to make remarks about the persons physical appearance. Professionalism at its finest. This individual clearly does not have the temperament to be in the security industry. When I asked for the guards name from another Prime Security guard he turned away so as not to show the ID on his arm band. It seems that their only ability is to stand beside a door, discriminate and remove people from the premises. I must also agree with the large amount of reviews here which state that sexual discrimination occurs extensively at this venue.

All of our friends used to love coming here. As of late staff have been unpleasant, overcharging us for happy hour drinks and rudely taking away chairs while we're clearly occupying a table. We totally understand if someone needs to be rearranged but taking away seats while we are sitting there with no explanation is uncalled for.

Worst place to go in Sydney. Everything is overpriced and the service is horrible. The service is where my main issue with pontoon lies. Not only are the bartenders rude and got my order wrong multiple times and service slow, the security at the door is ridiculous and very discriminatory. I was at a party for a mate and and they found any and every reason to not let guys into the club. A few of my friends were not let in for this very reason as they weren’t with any girls?? They tried to get in about half an hour later but this time had approached with some other girls going to the party pretending to be boyfriend and girlfriend and this time they were finally reluctantly let in. As well as this the security will find any way to not let in or kick boys out, purely based upon their gender which is flat out discrimination. Another time I went to pontoon I was not allowed entry because I looked too “drunk”. I had literally come straight from work on a Friday after I finished and had had nothing to drink. All in all I would never return to pontoon and would never recommend it as it is discriminatory and their is poor service at such a high price point. There are many better options in Sydney, don’t waste your time.

If you have been discriminated against, you can report it to the Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW. Examples of discrimination include being excluded from accessing services or participating in employment, education, sport or social activities.

I would give 0/5 stars if I could.. the conduct of your security staff is absolutely appalling, rude and outrageous. Having spent most my life growing up in Melbourne I have never experienced or seen such conduct discriminatory treatment from security staff here, towards male or female. Came here on a Saturday night with a group of friends visiting from Melbourne and interstate (fairly even mix of male and female, late 20s/early 30s, dressed exceptionally well). None of us were intoxicated or behaving poorly. After lining up for 20 minutes about half of us (male and female) were rejected (seemingly at random) mostly after the security guards (and one "tough guy" in particular) interrogating us over how many drinks we had (and it seemed there was no right answer). I was also grilled and asked to leave the line purely after the security guy wittnessed me stumbling over my own foot for half a second, which I do as a naturally clumsy person in heels. Clearly this guy hasn't got a clue on how to spot an actually intoxicated person. On our second attempt after lining up again I was let in (by the slightly nicer security guy), but my very sober and very well dressed boyfriend who encountered officer douchebag, was rejected (after having being accepted the first time). Other people in line experienced the same illogical unjust treatment. The only common recurring theme was that we were all brown. Won't be coming back here ever. Which is a shame, our group of 15-16 people were looking forward to spending big. We ended up spending our money at the Ivy instead, which was 100x better with superior service and class.

Always fun going there for the location and staff are always a mixed bunch, think drinks are a bit over priced for the wait and service
