  As we were leaving we saw other people in thongs and sandals. How is a closed-in thing like a boot not acceptable because it's 'sleepwear' but other people can wear thongs, which has less material?

  Good place to settle down and relax before the flight .. maybe do some work etc. Terrible grumpy looking guys doing coffee though .. you wouldn't want to meet them in a dark alley! Coffee isn't that great either ..

  The staff were also rude and unhelpful. Go anywhere else. We ended up sitting in the terminal and the wi-fi was better in the terminal anyway, along with gourmet fruit and yoghurt. Not worth it.

  Got off a 12-hour flight from Honolulu and had to wait about 2 hours for our connection to Brisbane, so went to the Qantas club. Was told I was not allowed in due to my footwear, which were Ugg boots, as they were 'sleep wear'. Closed in, solid, unbroken ugg boots.

  We asked to complain about the ridiculous rule (as it is an airport and people wear whatever they're comfortable with). We were then told we 'could not' complain.

  The Gold lounge is a large, barn-like structure, with plenty of seats but feels a little impersonal. Food isn't as good as the business lounge, but then, I'm not paying for business, so that's fair enough.

  Large Qantas Club with the standard selection of food and drinks available, it has great views of the gates and hangars with a lot of seating available. The lounge can get busy during busy periods obviously however its generally big enough to be able to find a seat.
