One of the most elegant churches in Australia. Friendly congregation with lots of travelers at the 1030 service

Amazing exterior architecture. Couldn't get inside but I'm sure it's beautiful.

Coming from another country I searched and attended many churches in the Sydney area. It was very difficult to find a church that showed genuine interest in my life and looked to welcome me in with open arms. The church family was friendly, loving, and welcoming. The opportunities to grow in my faith are unmatched by St. Phillips services, community group, and activities.

A Church that left me shattered due to very poor experiences. This is a Church with poor boundary-setting, in which females are encouraged to fit into stereotypical molds and 'submit' to their husbands. A Church in which women are shamed and judged for pursuing a career or developing themselves opening the door for women to be left in very vulnerable positions. It is also a Church in which members control and coerce each other to follow a hyper-religious version of Christianity. Beware if you do not fit as you will be judged, thought of as a 'bad' Christian, shamed, or even have your salvation called into question - as was true in my case. Everyone is expected to get along for the sake of unity, however, this is not realistic. In reality, there is no context in life in which everyone will like everyone else. We are simply created with different personalities, goals and situations in life. All in all, if you are considering attending this Church and want to retain your individuality and agency, please use discernment and set firm boundaries with others from the outset. Works salvation runs rampant here, though few members will be bold enough to admit as much.
