The soup Nazis of the consulate world. Get your visa application right or you will quickly be sent packing.

I cannot believe just how efficient the staff of the Brazilian Consulate General was in issuing my recent visa to travel to Brazil this month. I was so worried that my application would be too late to be issued in time for my journey but the visa came incredibly swiftly and I am so grateful to such a considerate group of officials who enabled me to travel to one of the best places I have ever been. The local people of Belo Horizonte were the most polite citizens of any other place to which I have been lucky enough to visit. When I said "bom dia" (good morning) EVERYONE replied "bom dia"! The weather was great, food excellent and economical, accommodation super good value, security was impeccable, the people very friendly and the sights amazing. The Brazilian airline LATAM is by far the best and most economical flying the skies at the moment and their service and food is first class together with a great airfare cost. Fantastic! Thank you sincerely to everyone. Kindest regards, John Brock.

very poor service and people facing skills. Their answers looks like are coming from a template, not really taking the time to understand the actual request. Unfortunatelly that's the only avenue foreigners and brazilians have to use.

I found a Brazilian Passport belonging to a Brazilian National, a disaster for anyone visiting Australia. I contacted The Embassy in Sydney and they were just not that interested. Trying to talk to someone there is almost impossible. They suggested I drop it off or mail it. They didn't even bother to look for a potential contact. Gordon

The rudest arrogant service I have ever had. They make you feel unwelcome when applying face to face at the Sydney office for a tourist visa. There is a female who works on the counter there that really needs to take time out, she is so stressed and nasty, I'm sure if her superiors saw and heard how rude she is they would give her the sack. She gives you a like it or lump it attitude get up off her chair and walks off in a huff. Thank god very soon you will be able to apply to ESTA for an online visa so you don't have to deal with their rude offensive service. They are the first Brazilian contact you encounter to get your visa, certainly not a very good welcome to their country. No phone number to talk to a representative personally, you just get a recorded message. They are probably pissed off because most of them will lose their jobs soon due to the embassy going electronic and I'd say that's a very good thing.
