Please do not send in cash for your application, these people will rob you!

I received my visa in the mail within 6 working days however my $40 was not included. Enquired about it, was told to email my bank account details and promised it would be refunded bank into my account. Nothing was actioned, I chased it up further and was told by Kirstie who I believe is the manager ) it had been sent in the mail with an extra satchel I had purchased.

My application was done by mail, additional information that I forgot to include in my initial application, was required from me, Before Elise the consulate could start working on my application.

To note, Elise was not one of the consulates that was rude towards me, and for the most part is competent at her job. However am still annoyed at the fact, my request to have my unused belongings returned to me was ignored.

I returned a month later from my holiday, the satchel was returned but still no money,.

I posted the information, the very next day which was a Friday. I used a Bank Cheque of $140 to pay for my visa application. In the second mail I sent, I also included $40 cash inside the satchel, with a note advising Elise, “I may need to change my application to 4 working days instead of 6, and would call her Monday morning with details on how to proceed.”

I did exactly that, ended up sticking with the original 6 working days. Instructed Elsie to just return my $40 with my completed visa application.

You would expect a higher level of professionalism from a government organisation like this. The fact that people would go to great extents to steal a meagre $40 is pitiful and perplexes me.

If I had known this, I would have chosen to get my visas processed on arrival in Ghana instead, not only is it cheaper, but the employees would have been much nicer.
  • Justin

Chased them up again about the matter, just to be told by Kirstie that Consulates are in no position to refund money, even hung up on me. Refused to answer numerous calls when calling back. A bunch of rude, dishonest, vile, unethical employees work at this place.
  • Kyle

Justin Betar is the rudest and laziest of them all, un accomodating and got very irritable when I called to get clarification on questions I was unsure about before submitting my visa.
