  Loved the Indigenous section, very interesting and captivating. My kids loved the Kidspace, and the animals and dinosaurs were interesting. They gems and minerals were also really great. Was a bit annoyed though that we had to pay an extra $20 to get into the Photography display, on top of the $15 admission fee. If it was $10 I probably would have bought it and had a look at it. Shame, I really wanted to see the photos. The restaurant upstairs was great, delicious food and fast service. All in all a great trip.

  2 hour street parking nearby or Museum train station. Large sections remain closed for renovation. Beware the gift shop, I cannot get my kids out of there.

  Good museum, definitely the place to go for young dinosaur enthusiasts.

  A nice mix of exhibits, lots of stuff for kids but some good things for adults too. The Aboriginal history is really well done highlighting their incredible culture and not shying away from some of the darkest aspects of the interactions between Aboriginal people and white settlers. Really a fantastic museum for all

  Road kill everywhere. Straight to the point. My daughter and I are vegetarians and don't like seeing stuffed animals everywhere. Besides that there are some aboriginal art and a realistic puppet dinosaur that my other daughter was afraid of. Would not return, prefer Melbourne museum. A lot of areas were being renovated long term as they even have it on the brochure that areas are being renovated. The staff were helpful.

  Great museum. Plan for at least 2 hours, more if you try to follow the museum map! Loved the feel of this historical building with all of it's twists and turns, stairs and different display rooms. Navigating the museum is similar to navigating downtown Sydney! Couldn't find an employee to ask directions, until it was closing time and then they were everywhere. A little pricey, but that's to be expected, it's Sydney.
